Registration

Registration is done through an Indico event as the conference tool, hosted by IDEMS International. An account in the tool will be required for registration. We are aware that users may not be receiving the email to confirm account creation.

The conference registration fee of USD 600 covers participation in all academic sessions, workshops, community meetings, and official and cultural events held during the conference week. This includes:

  • Coffee breaks
  • Daily lunches
  • Conference dinner
  • Venue and technical costs
  • Poster printing
  • Cross-subsidies to help support participation from those without institutional backing

Early Bird Registration Fee

An early bird registration fee of USD 500 is available for participants who complete their registration and payment by Sunday 17th May 2026.

Student Registration

We welcome a limited number of students from Nairobi based universities to attand as guests and contributors to the conference as part of their early career development. We have a number of roles student volunteers can take as well as attending presentations and workshops, and welcome proposals for other ways to contribute.

Places for students from The University of Nairobi will be free of charge.

Child Care and Additional Family Members

Some participants may wish to bring family members with them. The conference team can assist with arranging accommodation, coordinating cultural activities within Nairobi. Arrangements will vary depending on individual needs.

Support Available

The conference aims to be as inclusive as possible and to support participants who do not have institutional funding. Funding is limited and cannot be guaranteed. Priority will be given to participants who contribute to the conference (for example, through the submission of high-quality abstracts or by supporting organisational activities). For Kenyan participants, membership of the Kenya Mathematics Society will also be taken into consideration.

Applications for support are made within the registration form. Several levels of support are available, ranging from subsidised registration fees to full support for travel, accommodation, and fee waivers.

Application deadline: In order to apply for support, the conference registration must be completed by Sunday 15th February 2026. Submission of abstract for early consideration must be completed by Sunday 1st February 2026.

  • Early submission of abstracts: Sunday 15th March (extended from Sunday 1st February 2026). Early submissions will receive feedback shortly after submission
  • Support application deadline: Sunday 15th March (extended from Sunday 15th February 2026)
  • Safari booking deadline: Sunday 15th March (extended from Monday 16th February 2026)
    • Both safaris have now been confirmed. Late requests to participate will be considered but cannot be guaranteed.
  • Accommodation and Logistics Package: Sunday 26th April 2026
    • Extended to Sunday 17th May
  • Early bird registration deadline: Sunday 17th May 2026
