The International Meeting of the STACK Community 2026

Welcome to the International Meeting of the STACK Community 2026, taking place from 27–31 July 2026 in Nairobi, Kenya.

This year’s conference is hosted by the University of Nairobi, organised by the Kenya Mathematical Society, and supported by INNODEMS (Kenya) and IDEMS International.

Please contact: STACK2026@idems.international.

General Information

The conference will blend academics with practical implementations through a range of academic presentations, workshops, and community meetings. A full description of the conference structure can be found on the Conference Format page.

Medical and Visa Requirements

Participants are advised to check medical requirements and visa regulations well in advance of travel.

  • Kenya official immigration information: eVisa application and information
  • Medical recommendations: Please ensure you check with medical professionals in your country of residence for general advice at least 8 weeks before travelling.

The organising committee will provide standard supporting documentation for visa applications (e.g., invitation letters) upon registration; however, visa applications and compliance with medical requirements remain the participant’s personal responsibility.

Registration Fees

Registration fees will cover:

  • daily lunches,
  • coffee breaks,
  • the conference dinner, and
  • venue and technical costs.

We have some support for participants without institutional backing, helping widen access to the STACK community. See the Registration page for details.

Services and Additional Options

The conference will offer a range of added services to support participants:

  • Full accommodation package, including transport between accommodation and the venue.
  • Cultural activity: a three-day safari experience (see Cultural Activities for details)
  • Activities for accompanying family members.

Further details will be added as arrangements are confirmed.

Remote Participation

Remote participation will be possible for some of the sessions through live-streaming. In-person attendance is strongly encouraged, as the conference emphasises collaborative, interactive sessions where in-person engagement is particularly valuable.
